![]() I also liked how the villains were relatable. I was happy with the revelation of a character that I’ve been wondering about since book 1. Also, a certain main character’s sub story was underwhelming until towards the end, and then there’s the under utilization of a character especially after what happened in the last book. ![]() We still don’t know much about a character’s ability. There were a lot of things going on at different locations, yet it felt like nothing really progressed. The first 60% or so was quite slow for me. It feels strange.Įven though I liked it in the end, it actually took me quite a while to feel the story. It was quite harrowing lol!īut though I know I go now to my duty, some old part of me twinges, reaches out to whatever it is that I have lost. Just when I thought that there might be a glimmer of hope, it got crushed down, over and over again until I wondered how much more could these characters take. ![]() “You want to take down the Bitch of Blackcliff? You want to destroy her? You have to become her first. ![]() But in order to save the Empire and its people, they had to walk through fire and risk themselves getting burn. As the Empire fell into instability Elias Veturius, Laia of Serra and Halene Aquilla had roles to play. ![]()
